Your Dream is My Dream

Because we’re connected, your dream is my dream,
so let’s close our eyes and drift off together.
Heartache and pain should be put to sleep, now.
Let love, harmony, and contentment take over.

The dream-time rotates on invisible cogs,
spinning and turning as minutes roll past.
As you sleep beside me looking so peaceful,
no one else, Love, in my dreams will be cast.

On a magic dream carpet, we will travel the world,
soaring through the sky, over the waters of time.
Come along piercing the shadows with me,
as storm clouds form like a poem without rhyme.

Your soft hands release their tightly clenched fists,
palms open and as welcoming as they can be.
Your eyes closed and fluttering like tiny grey wings,
of two little lovebirds within a pear tree.

Our dreams are conjoined, you are me, I am you,
we’re the night, and the moon, we’re the sun and the day.
Let’s explore and discover the deepest unknown,
without you
