Pushing the Discipline Button Makes it Fun
I did not know till it did
Fun times or discipline, I never knew. Many years ago, when I had three young children to bring up and a full-time job (At that time, I was an assistant professor and had not even done my PhD)
I went to a birthday party with my children, and they were there—so many parents with their kids. I noticed one or two smart and chic-looking women with their kids.
I wondered how they spent so much time on themselves and came to know that they had nannies to look after their kids, and they spent time on themselves.
I did have house help, but still there was no time as I had to wake up early, make their breakfast and pack their tiffins, and drop them off at their school bus stop.
Imagine, at 6.30 AM, the bus would arrive and my youngest would be left behind as he was naughty and expected me to drop him off at school and then go to my college.
It was a great challenge for me to reach my workplace by 8.30 AM. Somehow, I always managed to be on time.
While driving to work one day, I decided that if I could do so much, I should also wake up half an hour early and do Yoga and look chic like other women.
