The Insignificant Story of Candy Crush
The Saga in My House!
Have you heard of the mobile game Candy Crush Saga?
It is a free tile-matching puzzle game by King, having over a trillion levels — at least, that’s what they claim!
From what I have observed, the game is incredibly addictive.
When it was released in 2012, it spread like wildfire. I was around 14 or 15 back then, and I remember it taking over my house and the people around me.
Surprisingly, it seemed to captivate the older generation even more than the younger ones.
I was so fascinated by it that I would grab my mom’s phone to play. Eventually, I installed it on my own phone and played a lot — until I got bored and uninstalled it.
But my mom never did.
In fact, Candy Crush Saga became a huge problem in our house because my mom was so addicted that she neglected everything else for it!
It sounds funny to me now, but it definitely wasn’t funny to my dad back then. He tried everything to keep her away from the game — uninstalling it, hiding her phone, even talking to her about it. She would reduce her playtime a little, but she never let it completely disappear from her day.
