To the One Who Makes Me Better Every Day

I have many habits I want to change — some are my own realizations, others pointed out by those around me. I call them my bad habits, but they feel even worse in your presence!
With you, I didn’t hesitate to commit to self-improvement and become a better person because you deserve nothing less and much more.
I want to be someone you’re proud of, someone who makes you proud to have me.
Like when we fall in love,
it matters what we do.
It matters to me that
my partner is proud too.
And what’s the point of us
if you’re adjusting just for me?
I’ll love you and want the same,
the way we both deserve it.
