Why I Love Country Life
Which team are you on — countryside or city?
Countryside or city? Have you ever found yourself in this dilemma? I’ve always known that I want to live in the suburbs or in the countryside. I temporarily lived in an apartment and concluded that it really wasn’t for me. Here are a few reasons why living in a house in the countryside is the only choice for me!
Living with Strangers vs. Complete Privacy
Before my husband and I moved to the countryside, we were tenants in a building in our hometown. Often, while washing dishes in the kitchen, I would hear someone snoring on the other side. I know that for people who have always lived in apartments, hearing other sounds is the most normal thing, but to me, it was totally bizarre.
It’s incomprehensible to me that only a wall separates me from someone I don’t even know.
And it’s not comfortable for me.
Now I live in a new house in the yard where I grew up. The neighbors are at a good distance, and I’ve known all of them since birth.
In the yard, everyone always minds their own business, and when we’re in the mood, we exchange a few words. We have relaxed relationships with neighbors.
