This summer I have discovered some fantastic non-alcoholic drinks that are produced locally. In the heat of this summer I find carbonated drinks so refreshing. When taking non-alcoholic drinks to a barbeque, picinic or garden party, you want something that’s a bit more grown up than the usual cordial or colas.
These are my top 3 favourites this summer! All local and tasty! All you have to do is pour into a fancy glass, add a ice and slice and it feels so like a special treat and very grown up!
- Seedlip Spice 94 is distilled non-alcoholic spirit produced in Oxfordshire. Mix it with a top quality tonic, serve over ice and with a slice of red grapefruit and you will absolutely love it! It smells beautiful, it tastes beautiful and the label is a beautiful work of art. It’s extremely refreshing and possibly addictive. While on the pricey side, you wont be disappointed! Get it from Cobbs farm shop in Thatcham or Fielder’s Farm shop in Theale, Berkshire.
2. Switchle comes up a close second! It’s an organic sparkling spring water based cider vinegar drink with honey and natural juices. This is a quite dry, carbonated option. I just love both the Matcha Lime and Mint as well as the Rooibos, Raspberry and Pomegranate so much I can’t choose one over the other. The flavour is very light so great on a hot day. I got mine from Garland’s Organic Shop in Pangbourne, Berkshire.
3. Fentimans Rose Lemonade is a natural botanical drink that is sweet, pink and bubbly! If you normally love a glass of champers or a rosé wine in the summer sun, you will love this! It is quite sweet but not tart like a true lemonade. It is flavoured very subtly with pure rose extract. I recommend sipping from a champagne glass while reclined and wearing designer sunglasses! I got mine from Green’s The Butcher in Pangbourne, Bekshire.
