Details of the story seems true, the impact and the perils of dragon. But I am suspicious of the extinction and the tornado. Anyway it is good to have a family story to tell the young. Oh my, I am sounding like a pops!

Well, I heard those difficult days but I always thought that wasn’t the worst time of dragons.

  • What was the worst occasion for you, Sir?

Leaving the Earth, of course. Having no option but left my homeland to an obscure and lonely life.

I saw many perils through my life. And I can tell you that the most difficult ones are the ones that break your heart. I sounded like a pops again.

We were getting along with humans after their departure. Whenever we had time or we missed them we flew through the ocean and reach their new lands. We were taking them lots of presents like gems and rocks that kind of stuff which we have in our land.

Years passed and the first humans we met in person died. Next generation was ok so we continued our friendship. But the third generation after humans’ departure was a little strange. Maybe it will be better if I say we became strangers to them. They began to scare but still love us in a way. That way wasn’t ideal for us.

They were amazed with our kindness and love. They grew gratitude towards us because of our presents and also we were helping them with their issues in their life if it was in our power. I told you about our talents. Besides we were still flying with them if anyone asks. First flying with us became fetish around third generation. They didn’t allow everyone to fly with us even we accept. They made up some rules to choose the one who could fly on dragons’ shoulders. We said it was ok to fly for us whomever want to fly but they ignore our words.

Flying with only the chosen one wasn’t fun.

  • Why not, Sir?

First of all, they were choosing the one who would fly not us. We were the ones who flew with them. It was our shoulders that is at stake. We should have the right to choose. We said that but they ignored again. Our visits became unpleasant so we decreased our visits to humans. And prefer to fly somewhere else or just stay on our lands which was dear to us.

Ambitious people didn’t let us live in peace. One day we saw a ship near the shore. It was the first ship we saw near our shore till the departure of humans. We were curious and thought that they missed us. They missed yes, but not personally, they missed our supports and wealth.

They wanted us to help them. But not like they wanted help after the famine. This was someway different. This time they wanted something in exchange. They wanted us to use our talents for them in exchange of jewels. Somehow they believed that jewels were very precious for us.

Well, I won’t lie we are very fond of jewels and we like humans so we accepted their offer.
