I was introduced to Jeff Bausemer by my first guest, Andrew Murray Dunn. One of the goals of this show is to highlight individuals that are tackling modern societal issues in a unique way.

One of Jeff’s current missions is to bring ancient eastern practices, such as herbal medicine, back into the main stream to help solve medical and mental health issues. He started East Meets West Festival, because for seven years, he was suffering from chronic illness that western medicine could not cure. This forced him to experiment with unconventional, but traditional eastern medicinal systems.

East Meets West gives modern people tools for personal, social and cultural revolution by catalyzing the conversation around human potential, well being, creative culture, global entrepreneurial leadership & policy, and social impact.

One hurdle I believe we need to move through culturally is the separation of the scientific from the effective. Jeff and I discuss the flaws of Scientific Materialism and our inability to prove cause and effect. We dive a bit into psychedelics which Jeff describes as the next wellness trend.
