John Clements Consultants Launches Services Recognition Scheme

July 2018 Awardees

There have been many discussions about having a Recognition Scheme for the JCCI Services and Support Team since last year. As we all know, there are both monthly and annual awards for our Sales and Production Team, and therefore it is right to have one for the Services and Support Team as well. The JCCI management supported the idea, and preliminary actions were taken immediately to investigate how we were going to make this incentive feasible.

At first, it was very difficult to put a system in place that would cover the jobs from Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, Administrative, Marketing, Documentation, IT, and even our drivers and messengers. Conducting several meetings with MANCOM, managers, and employees to generate ideas and insights, we finally formulated a Services Recognition Scheme, which is as follows:

Performance Against KPIs- 30 points

Values- 40 points

· Be Trustworthy

· Own It

· Disrupt

· Collaborate

· Go Beyond

Punctuality- 10 points

· Clock-in time

· Meetings, Trainings, Breaks, etc.

Training- 10 points

Attendance- 5 points

Employee Engagement- 5 points

Manager Commendation- + 10 points

The Learning and Development Team rolled out this plan to all divisions and we were delighted with the overwhelming positive feedback and support. We maximized technology by using SurveyMonkey as an online tool where managers could submit their monthly evaluation to their employees.

Finally, last August 30, 2018, the first-ever Services Recognition took place. We recognized services employees who did a great job for the month of July 2018. It was attended by services and support employees, along with their respective bosses.

We awarded certificates for the top 10% of the total population of services employees for their excellent performance. The awardees were Mylene Samonte (HBP), Maricris Figuerres (Services), Chesca Dela Cruz (Services), Melanie Gunio (HBP), Anne Santiago (EDI Staffbuilders), Cris Mercado (Services), Anthony Arador (Services), Alvin De Guzman (EDI Staffbuilders), and Rodolfo Cunanan, Jr. (EDI Staffbuilders).

Following this, we awarded the 2nd placer of the month to Hazel Grace Espino of Professional Staffers. She received a certificate of recognition and Php 2,000 worth of gift certificates. And lastly, the 1st placer was Lou Sulit, Admin Manager of John Clements. She received a certificate of recognition and Php 3,000 worth of gift certificates.

The program proper concluded with loud applause — not just for the outstanding performers of the month, but for all the services and support groups of John Clements and EDI-Staffbuilders. This was for all their efforts and contributions that are very much appreciated and recognized by the management.

The last part of the event was socialization over pizza. It was nice seeing the support teams from different divisions gather around and talk about both work and personal stuff. This initiative aims to boost the employees’ morale and make them feel the importance and value of their roles in the organization.

I personally believe that this is one of the most significant issues that needed action when I started working in John Clements. It was an honor for me to be part of the team who pushed the system forward, from start to finish. It was never easy starting from scratch: from meetings and brainstorming sessions, to the implementation itself, but I felt relieved seeing everyone happy and loving the scheme. Of course, this is still a work-in-progress. There will be improvements along the way and we are very open to changes. The important thing is we have something to begin with.

This is one of the projects that I will never forget being part of because its impact to employees is remarkable, and absolutely invaluable.
