PMAP 2021 Exemplar Awardees

Last July 28–30, 2021, the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) held its 58th Annual Conference. On the second day, I attended a plenary session that honored the 2021 Exemplar Awardees. For the awarding ceremony, PMAP presented each awardee by showing a tribute video, followed by a roundtable discussion of all attendees.
The 10 PMAP 2021 Exemplar Awardees
People Program of the Year (Mindanao Region) — Dole Philippines Incorporated
People Program of the Year in Public Sector (National Capitol Region) — City Government of Mandaluyong
Gawad Makatao for Humanity (National Capitol Region) — Patrick Alain T. Azanza, PhD
People Manager of the Year in Public Sector (Luzon Region) — Hon. Benjamin B. Magalong
People Manager of the Year (National Capital Region) — Hiyasmin Ledi C. Mattison
People Manager of the Year (National Capital Region) — Kevin Mark Urrutia
Employer of the Year (Mindanao Region) — Alsons Aquaculture Corporation
Employer of the Year (Luzon Region) — Continental Temic Electronics (Philippines) Incorporated
Employer of the Year (Luzon Region) — Philippine Coastal Storage and Pipeline Corporation
Employer of the Year (Luzon Region) — Splash Corporation
To give a brief summary of how the winners were chosen, the PMAP Awardees Team screened a total of 38 nominees. Following this, 31 of the nominees passed the paper screening and were assessed further, bringing the number down to 10 winners that were still further assessed by the Board of Judges. It was truly inspirational to watch the 10 winners share their insights and ideologies to the public.
