It’s been three weeks since the start of our enhanced community quarantine for COVID-19 — how are you spending your time at home? The situation changes each day and there’s nothing else to do but to cross the bridge when we get to it.

It’s definitely challenging for us to stay home, work from home, and study at home. Luckily, technologies are available to help us complete our various tasks. These days, virtual communication has become even more useful that we heavily depend on it. Of course, there are downsides to it and face-to-face communication is still better. However, alternative ways also exist to solve virtual communication issues — using emojis is one way to make your conversations brighter. We can also use Snap Camera, a Snapchat-based filter that can be applied while using Zoom. See? You can still enjoy your life in quarantine!

Last March 25, 2020, we at John Clements (JC) also did our share of trying to enjoy life in quarantine through our first virtual cocktails. This small virtual gathering was organized to help JC employees chill and relax. Holding our respective drinks, we enjoyed talking and laughing with each other on-screen. It was a great opportunity for us to share how we are facing our virtual lives. Since there seems to be many young people in the world, who still do not take this pandemic seriously and risk their lives by hanging out, our virtual cocktails was, in a way, our means of contributing to save lives!

It is but important for us to relax and unwind, especially during this very stressful time. But it’s also important to keep in mind that we can relax and have fun while staying safe at home. Let’s try our best to do our part to save the world!
