Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It’s like to be afraid of your own mind. Basically Mental Health is not a particular destination but a step by step process; it’s about how you drive and not where you are going. The words of the Hollywood legend Glenn Close (ADD diagnosed in 2008) “What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor and more unashamed conversations.”

MENTAL HEALTH AND COVID-19

With the increase in fear of contracting the virus in this time of a pandemic Covid-19 while notable variations in our day to day lives have been restricted in order to slow down the spread of the virus. The toll on mental health issues are not in any subject of avoidance. WHY GIVE UP?

“The problem with having problems is that someone always has it worse” Tiffany Madison, Black and White. The most common factor that can influence, someone to take a step of giving up, is severe depression. The word depression refers to feelings despondency and dejection. It can make people feel great emotional pain and loss of hope, making them unable to see another way to relieve the pain other than ending their own life. Sometimes when one has never thought of ending one’s life, it gets tougher to relate to someone who is dealing with a situation like that. There various reasons one could have the thought of doing something so bizarre ,what we merely know is what they go through. The slightest change in one’s attitude could affect someone’s mental health. Do whatever it takes to be kind, to be human to everyone because we never know what some else is dealing with.

THE FIGHT BACK ATTITUDE

For a lot of things that did not turn out as you wanted doesn’t let you to decide “a stop”. Don’t let people, failure, missed opportunities, feelings or anything in this world let you put a stop to the valuable life you have received. It requires a process of patience in growing through what we go through and knowing its fine to be not okay for us all the time. Sometimes it’s better to not have all the answers and be at peace, after all peace is the only thing worth a fight. Trying to solve everything will eventually end us all tangled. From personal experiences of famous people who have addressed whether there are millions of reasons worth living even if the worst ones haunt you for “a stop”. Andrea Dykstra (co-author of The Missing Piece) quotes “in order to love who you are, you cannot hate the experience that shaped you”

JUST DON’T CEASE

Life is along party. With numerous throw ups by people you know and you don’t .sometimes exciting lights and scary shades around. Some glamorous visuals with annoying taste regarding scenarios. Most of the time it appears to be fun but deep down it’s as hollow as their opinions. But that doesn’t stop us at being at the party. We all fight our own battles and mostly keep lurking for human help, we do, all of us do. In this struggle of looking for help, we forget our own self could possibly take us out of that situation, no matter who puts us there or how we end up there. A bright sight of better things which could see is probably waiting for you out there, just don’t stop looking for them anytime soon.

DAWN AFTER DUSK

The lyrics of a famous Bollywood song goes

“lekin raat ke hi baad toh sawera hota hai,” after every night comes a new morning.

There are a lot of things we are missing out, world which is a better place if we are sorted with the kind of happiness that we actually deserve and not what we accept. As we tend consciously and unconsciously accept a lot of things, we think we deserve. At the end rainbows are worth waiting for after the gloomy rain. Make a decision of keep going and finding your rainbow. There by take a decision not to stop.
