Sushant Singh Rajput

A talented dancer and a gifted actor as we all know him as The Sushant Singh Rajput. Yes, I am saying we all know him even though he is no longer with us, because a man having dreams and aspirations for the society is never really dead to the people.

21st January, 1986 a legend was born in the city of Patna, who had known at that time that this boy would change the course of acting. He had secured an AIR-7 in DCE entrance Exam in 2003 where he pursued Mechanical Engineering. But he never really had the time for his studies when he started participating in theatre and dance. He dropped out of college and joined dance classes where it struck to him the idea of pursuing acting as a career. Shifting to Mumbai after some time Sushant joined the theatres for two and half years until his personality and talent landed himself a ticket to the television. Within just 3 years of his performance their Sushant was nominated for 6 different awards and had bagged 5 of them in his name, which obviously gave him the confidence and also paved his way into the film industry. Playing a role of an ex-cricketer in his debut movie Kai Po Che and making it a hit film, he then played the lead role in the bio pic of Mahendra Singh Dhoni making a place for it in the top 10 movies of that year. He continued working, making the movies having a good place in the box-office collection like Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! And Chhichhore and many more.

Sushant had mentioned in an interview that this journey he took was not full struggles but full of events which made him what he was. And yes maybe it really shaped him into such a sensational and an inspiring person.

In September 2019, Sushant had shared a series of Instagram posts of handwritten notes. It was his bucket list of 50 dreams which are trending now as a reminder of the boy’s last ambitions. Every time Sushant ticked something off the list, he would celebrate the joy of winning and a sense of accomplishment could be seen in the social media. People are wrong in thinking if so, that his bucket list self-conceit or uselessness. Whether it was helping kids learn about space, taking them to ISRO/NASA, teaching coding to the visually impaired, helping women train in self- defence, teach dance to kids or plant a 1000 trees, he didn’t stop when it came to others. This was clearly an indication towards his ‘giving’ nature. He had the same thoughts about his dreams too where he wanted to work toward the society, free education and what not. His goals were distinctive from people in a good way, they were altruistic and its really sorrowful that he couldn’t check off everything in his bucket list. Even though Sushant might have gone, but I am sure his dreams will continue to inspire people just as he did.

Sushant Singh Rajput in Chhichhore

There are many people who dream to be successful but only the people who don’t quit are the people who become successful. They are the ones who promise themselves that no matter how it gets one should never give up. It is just as Dale Carnegie used to say, “Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all”.
