What does traveling mean? Well, according to me, traveling is about all kinds of experiences filled with- adventures, cool stories (that you can share with your loved ones) and sometimes unknowingly creating meaningful relationships with the people you meet on road- while talking to them about their lifestyle, home, friends and family over a cup of coffee and ultimately realizing how beautifully can we connect in some way or the other. While on road, the journey matters and one should definitely start their journey with a perfect brew at one of these spots.

Curious Life Coffee Roasters — Jaipur

Normally, when one enters a café, they simply order a cup of coffee, but Curious Life Coffee Roasters are lot more than that. Here one may have the option of choosing their origin of coffee beans from India’s best coffee growing regions. Not only this but one can also choose the brewing method of their coffee. Apart from picking up freshly roasted coffee, one can also buy the materials required to make coffee at home. The café has both indoor and outdoor seating space providing a spacious and a soothing ambience.

United Coffee House — Delhi

75 years old, United Coffee House (UCH) is a 3500-sqft café-cum-restaurant that has made its place as one of the most vintage restaurants in Delhi. It has a really high ceiling with large golden chandeliers that gives the restaurant a sense of the colonial era. The real magic is seen when one orders a Darjeeling tea, which is served in a white cup and in its black brew one can see the reflection of the chandelier so clearly, that it seems as if someone has dropped a mini chandelier in the cup (hence sometimes people call it chandelier tea). The place is a good live example of the proverb- ‘Old is Gold’. The service here is quite slow on purpose because the quality of food here is worth the wait.

Artsy — Coffee and Culture — Kolkata

Kolkata’s first ‘Art Café’, Artsy, is a place of all kinds of art and culture experiences you can imagine. The spacious café is an artful in itself, having bean bags and mismatched furniture, shelves full of books of classics and fictional genres. There is also a part in the café where there are plants hanging and comfortable chairs and tables that makes it a perfect place for having meetings or taking a small break from your busy schedule. The blue and yellow tone that runs through the walls is covered with paintings from artists of the month and many local artists. It gives a stage to promote young talent. Apart from having a great ambience and making it a perfect place to read and relax, Artsy serves some of the best coffee in India. Reviews says that the staff are quite friendly. Artsy is also known for its promise — “To strive to bring you the best coffee and culture”.

These are some of the best must visit places in India to sit and chit-chat or have meetings or take a cheat day from your office or just relax and read. If you are a coffee or a tea person these places are definitely your second home.
