The Loop co. is a young technology company. We had no experience in telework, but before the first lockdown, we were one of the first companies to adopt teleworking as a preventive measure. So, over the past two years, we have adopted new working methods, based on digital collaboration. From our perspective, remote work has the potential for flexibility, efficiency, and convenience. Nevertheless, teleworking challenges the development of our company culture and the integration of dozens of new colleagues in our team, without physical contact. — By Manuel Tovar

Our company began the transition to a hybrid work model since the vaccination levels allowed it. This model can be permanent, bringing together the flexibility of remote work models with the powerful collaboration of face-to-face interaction.

With the recent worsening of the epidemiological situation, we do not intend to regress in our effort to promote the hybrid work model. Hence, we will slow down the returning to the company’s office and extend the transition to hybrid work into the first months of 2022. Alongside this slowdown, we intensified control measures, which include disinfection, use of masks, creation of separations between workstations and, above all, covid testing through the scheduling platforms we have developed for the Portuguese Pharmacies and the Portuguese Red Cross. During the mandatory teleworking period, we will completely suspend face-to-face activity.
