Female founders are a better bet.

“Businesses founded by women ultimately deliver higher revenue, more than twice as much per dollar invested, than those founded by men” a study by the Boston Consulting Group shows. For every dollar of funding, female-founded startups generated 47 cents more in revenue than male-founded startups.

Yet, companies with female founders received only 4.4% of venture capital deals. These companies comprise only 2% of all capital invested.

Our current system of funding puts female-founded startups at a clear disadvantage, and this investment gap is real.

That is why the Loop Network is launching Group Salons.

Our Group Salons are one hour sessions per week that focus on a variety of topics, ranging from need-finding to scaling your startup. Facilitated by investors, operators, and founders, Group Salons bring together cohorts of six founders at the same stage as you to get the community and accountability you need to be on the right track.

You can choose from three tracks depending on where you are in your timeline. You can join:

  1. Develop, if you are looking to ideate, plan, and build your venture. We will talk about problem discovery, market research, ideating, and user research.
  2. Launch, if you are ready to get working on your minimum viable product (MVP) and selling & testing it. We will go over concepts including design, prototyping, market experiments, and sales tests.
  3. Scale, if you are interested in grow, hire, and fundraise. Sessions will cover hiring, fundraising, sales, and pricing.

Sign up here by June 22nd to secure your spot! Group Salons will launch June 29th. Don’t worry if you don’t have any previous startup experience — The Loop is aimed at womxn aiming to take the entrepreneurial leap and are at the start of their startup journeys.

The Group Salon sessions will be hosted over Zoom at the same time every week through July. The sessions are facilitated by volunteer mentors looking to give back to the community. If you want to volunteer and get involved, learn more here.
