I Should Have Made the Paperback First
Why is everyone and their dog publishing an ebook — not only me and my dog?
I’ve published my ebook on Amazon/Kindle and am now in the paperback and hardcover part of the writing and publishing process.
After working at it for a few weeks without doing anything else on my computer, I’m taking a break from the book to write about it. Why?
This story will be a reminder-to-self for my next book, Cooper: The Sequel. I’m not sure what the title will actually be, but Cooper: The Sequel works for now.
Anyway, my ebook was published on February 7th, and I assumed I’d have the paperback ready within a week or two.
A month has passed and I’m not ready to publish the paperback. In fact, I’ve become frustrated with formatting the paperback copy and after venting for three minutes here, I’m hoping I’ll feel better about getting back to it.
The bottom line for next time I publish a book, and to anyone who plans to self-publish, if you want your book in all formats, I recommend making the paperback first.
