Cooper admits he’s slowing down toward his retirement. Don’t ask me how he knows; dogs just know.

Unlike humans, bragging about being as fit as we were at 30, and don’t need alarms to get up before dawn, which is less impressive in winter when sunrise is after 8 🇨🇦, dogs do not feel peer pressure to be up early.

Anyway, Cooper doesn’t feel guilty about dragging his big, handsome self to his water dish while stretching and yawning. If he wore boxers, they’d be lopsided.

These days he is chilling, worrying less and contemplating more.
