Do you want to do something different this Saturday? Fed up with a trek to the local boozer, to sample all the same ales on all the same cracked leather seats? Even if you’re not a beer aficionado, you’ll love the fresh air and fresh ideas you’ll find when you stroll the now legendary Bermondsey Beer mile. All breweries and tasting rooms below are conveniently situated within very short walking distance of each other, and all offer up their own unique brews and bottles in delightful practical open sessions every weekend. I’ve also added a few of the food and other bits that are good to do during the trip, so you can ensure a full days enjoyment as you wander this brilliant beer strip.

The Brewers

Kernal Brewery

One of the original Bermondsey breweries, serving a selection of bottled craft beers to take away only, from Saisons to sours to IPAs and darker fair.

Brew by Numbers

Partizan Brewing

Micro-brewery based in South Bermondsey, where they’ve been making exciting, high quality beer since 2012.

Anspach & Hobday

Fourpure Brewery

The Extras

Cosy cafe with painted brick walls and contemporary furniture, for artisan coffees and pastries.

Village East

Modern European brasserie fare and cocktails in an eclectic, brick and natural wood interior.

Blu Top Ice Cream

Small-batch ice cream company based in London serving hand made ice cream sandwiches.

Maltby Street Market

Every weekend The Maltby Street Market sets up in LASSCO Ropewalk — with a glorious array of artisan producers serving up delicious food and drink to a growing throng of eager shoppers. In addition to the foodie market stalls, the former railway arches are home to an increasing number of shabby chic eateries and antique dealers.
