Tory Lanez Talks About Artists Being Scared to Support Him

Toronto seems to be everywhere nowadays, since the emergence of Drake and Weeknd a few years back. The truth is, though, Tory Lanez is an artist who has been recognized for quite some time now and is finally getting his just due. Recently, yours truly had an opportunity to chop it up with him and pick his brain on his thoughts of his career thus far.
With his hit record, “Say It,” he has certainly caught the attention of the commercial fanbase and now endless comparisons to other Toronto artists, specifically OVO. When asking about his thoughts on those artists, in reference to possible “jabs” he threw in past freestyles, he deflected it well, while stating,
“It’s your favorite artist out there that didn’t want to give Tory the chance because they were like, you know what, this kid might really be better than me and he might really take me out of my lane.”
He clearly left it up to the listeners to take the quote for what it was. Some may think he is talking very broadly, and others will speculate. There is only a select few artist in the game that can rap and sing as well as he does. Tory, yet to release any information on any future projects, but “Say it” will certainly have the listeners tuned in.
