With the ratings for Starz original series ‘BMF’ topping nearly 7 million views per episode, Starz green-lighted a documentary that will tell the real life story of the Flenory Brothers, Demetrius and Terry.

The docu-series will consist of eight episodes and will offer an inside look at varied perspectives from all those involved in the “Black Mafia Family.”

According to Jeffrey Hirsch, President and CEO of Starz, the success of ‘BMF’ demonstrates a continued interest in the story of the Flenory Brothers. The series will be produced by Curtis Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television production company along with Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions.

The showrunners will consist of Curtis Jackson and Shan Nicholson. The docu-series will be directed by Nicholson and Chris Frierson.

This documentary further adds to the building portfolio of programs 50 Cent has under his belt with Starz. The docu-series will fold into the ‘BMF’ series along with the current four components of the Power Universe.
