The show starts with Lamar beginning his terror spree to get revenge on his daughter being kidnapped.

Meech pulls up to a corner store and a group of young boys ask him if he can purchase some beer for them. Meech declines and grabs them some soda instead. When he exits the building, Lamar is waiting for him with a shotgun. Thankfully Meech’s security is not far behind. A shoot out begins as Lamar runs off, similar to the late great Michael K. Williams as “Omar Little” on ‘The Wire.’

Terry and Meech realize they have to get the family into hiding. Lucille has not come out of her room in days seemingly mourning the loss of her son’s innocence. Terry and Meech know they can not be in the streets and decide to hand a few bricks to some of the guys in the crew, specifically B-Mickie. Terry has reservations about giving the brick to B-Mickie. When Terry goes to take the drugs to Mickie, he spots Kato’s jacket on the sofa. She is hiding in the bathroom considering Terry came unannounced. Terry sells the brick to Mickie for a small cut on the back-end even though that was not Meech’s directive.

Pastor Swift is a little shifty as we see tonight. Tiny is staying at the church and he breaks Pastor Swift off. Charles is there for some money and Pastor Swift lies and tells Charles he only has five dollars. Meech rushes in and tells Charles he is needed at the house.

Charles attempts to speak to Lucille but she is not saying much. Terry admits Lucille found out about him selling drugs. Meech suggests that Charles take Lucille and Nicole to Ohio to hide out. Charles refuses to move his family out of the home he built. Nicole and Charles walk out as Terry reminds Meech that kidnapping Zoie was a terrible idea.

Lamar slowly realizes he is on the outs everywhere. The 12th Street Boys are done taking orders from him. Lamar is also approached by Detective Bryant who suspects he has involvement in some of the bodies turning up around the city. Lamar and Slick head back to his place. Lamar blames Slick for Meech and Terry getting the drop on him. He threatens Slick and tells him if things do not improve Meech and Terry will not be the only ones with their water cut off.

Terry and B-Mickie bag up some product to give everyone. Terry announces that every one will get their own sack. All they have to do is return with the amount that is due to Terry and Meech, everything else they can keep. Terry realizes he has to leave for a college fair at his school.

At the fair Terry bombs. He gets nervous and starts to have flashbacks to the death of Rock as well as his mother asking him if he sells drugs. Terry walks out and Mr. Ryan goes after him. Mr. Ryan tells Terry that he needs to get his head in the game if he wants to be successful.

Meech meets with Tiny and discusses his disappoint in how the meeting with Q went. Tiny tells Meech everything was cool until he heard some chatter on the streets. Tiny gives Meech info on where he can get another chance to speak to Tiny.

Charles tells Lucille he thinks he can get Terry to potentially stop selling drugs. He wants to use some of the hospital settlement money to get Terry to go to school in another state. However the plan fails when Charles speaks to the family’s lawyer. Karen tells Charles their was a time limit to agree on the settlement and that time expired, the settlement is off the table. Charles disrespects Karen and as a result of the news and she quits.

Things get deeper for Lamar when he attempts to see Monique. She curses Lamar and tells him she will never give him another chance. Lamar reaches through her door and grabs her by the neck. Monique breaks free and slams the door. Lamar continues to bang on her door, threatening her and calling her names. He realizes that Zoie is watching from a window. Lamar later plays stick up man and robs one of the kids Kato and another crew member had selling drugs. Terry snaps when he hears what happened and Meech pulls him aside to remind him their name is no longer on the product that was stolen. They are no longer the 50 Boyz.

Kato finally takes B-Mickie to her house. B-Mickie spots a note on her table that makes him question her. He pockets the note and the two of them plan a date for later that night.

Slick gets to his house and quickly tries to sneak and pack up some of his things before Lamar gets back. Slick realizes Lamar is already in the house. Lamar tells him he has lost everything because Monique wants nothing to do with him. Slick tries to keep Lamar on track with their plan but we quickly realize this is not a venting session for Lamar. Lamar begins to sing ‘You Can’t Stop The Rain’ by Loose Ends. Slick runs back into his room to gather his things but Lamar stabs him. Lamar continues to sing and stabs Slick again. Slick crawls into the living room as Lamar takes a sit and watches Slick die on the floor.

Meech seals the deal with Q at the gambling club.

Lucille and Charles confront Terry on why he started selling drugs with Meech. Terry admits he was tired of living the way they had to live and wanted to make money to help the family. Terry figured people would get high regardless. Lucille suspects the boys are doing more considering the family now has to be surrounded by security. Lucille tells Terry they are concerned about his soul and they can not protect that for Terry,

Tiny arrives at the church with a woman. While the two of them are having sex, the woman discovers blood on the sofa. When Tiny turns the lights on, he sees Slick’s bloody body.

Terry announces to the crew that they are no longer going by the 50 Boyz. They all suggest different names but Meech goes with “The Family.” B-Mickie confronts Meech on how he has been treated lately. He did not care for being fronted drugs by them but Meech tells him they are trying to set things up for him to make his own money. Meech asks Terry why didn’t he give B-Mickie the drugs and Terry expresses how doing so would have made B-Mickie think he was an equal. He also tells Meech that he suspects Kato and B-Mickie are sleeping with one another.

The following day, Nicole and Darius try to evade the security detail that is one the family to go to the arcade. As they walk together down the street, Lamar pulls up the pair. He tries to get Nicole to get in his care but she refuses. Darius steps in to protect her and Lamar stabs him in the stomach. Darius drops to the ground and Nicole runs off. Darius grabs Lamar by the leg to stop him from chasing Nicole. Lamar apologizes to Darius before stabbing him again in his stomach. He gets in his car and rides off. Nicole runs to Darius along with others in the neighborhood and yells for some one to call the police. She begs Darius to open his eyes.

Takeaways:

Lamar killed that child so for me, he needs to go. I hope they alter this story and actually kill his character off but we shall see.

B-Mickie so close to figuring Kato out yet so far because he is whipped!

Lucille and Charles are something else. Every episode this pair gives me something else to shake my head at. The way Lucille allowed Charles to disrespect Karen, a mess.
