Hello ‘Insecure’ family, it’s your friendly neighborhood ‘Insecure’ enthusiast here to give you the tea on tonight’s episode.

We have finally arrived to the Block Party, truthfully I have been waiting for this since episode one after Issa said she is done with Molly. I wanted the tea and I needed to see the mess.

The episode opens with Issa in deep thought and clearly hungry in the middle of the night. While warming a burrito she decides to surf Instagram only to strike up a conversation with her ex-boo Nathan, this comes back up. We did get our answer to who Issa was speaking to about not dealing with Molly anymore. Yikes!

Molly and Andrew are getting ready for the block party, however Molly is having second thoughts about going. I mean Molly if it’s that deep, do not go sis. The one positive is Andrew is clearly supportive of his split personality having girlfriend.

As you have figured out, it is Block Party Day and Issa is quickly learning managing people is literally a task within itself. Just when we thought we had seen the last of Condola she resurfaces right in time for the party. We finally get the confirmation we were waiting for, Condola and Lawrence are no more, which means Lawrence told Condola he would still be with Issa had she not cheated. The tea is already hot.

The crew all arrive to the party. Kelli is enjoying herself parlaying as a British woman and we are learning that Tiffany may be dealing with postpartum depression, yes Issa please take us there. Can I just say I absolutely love Kelli and Ahmal together? This duo is deserving of 30 minutes of jokes at a table together.

Molly and Andrew spend time hugged up and admiring all of Issa’s hardwork. Molly finally shows some interest in her friends hard work but it may be a bit too late for that. Issa locked in SiR and Vince Staples as performers. Yes, our girl DID THAT! Molly attempts to come in peace with wings but clearly she still does not understand how involved Issa must be to get this event off perfectly. Selfish much?

Thug Yoda comes and shows his support and I love me some Thug Yoda because he has always been supportive of our girl Issa. Nathan also arrives and of course takes a stroll down memory lane with Issa. The DJ decides it’s time for some real fun and well, let the line dance commence! Andrew knew exactly how to do the Wobble, so he’s certified in every hood. We see Molly and Issa share a moment of love while dancing with one another however it is short lived.

Vince Staples manager thanks Andrew for a hook-up in front of Molly and we find out he indeed helped Issa get Vince Staples, by way of Nathan. It gets very ugly from there. Molly confronts Issa at the block party and some super low blows are exchanged. Molly calls Issa selfish while Issa reminds Molly to look in the damn mirror. It was horrible and left both of them reeling once it was said and done. Poor Issa, on a day that was supposed to be such a high and she was finally being celebrated by her peers, Molly serves her up an ultimate low.

Takeaways:

Molly has tunnel vision and only feels she is the one allowed to be consumed in and work as well as willing to do whatever to succeed.

Issa, baby, we are proud of you. Keep your head up!

Um where is Lawrence big head self at? Come out and support your boo *wink*

Next week is going to be one of those “I don’t need Molly to have fun” episodes. Let’s see how it goes
