Last week we watched how Issa dealt with the fallout between she and Molly. This week it’s Baecation time for Molly and Andrew.

The episode opens with Molly at the Ethiopian restaurant from last week. She actually spotted Issa getting out of the car but ignored her until she realizes Issa did not come in. Molly heads home to Andrew and she appears bothered by the interaction at the restaurant. She tells Andrew that Issa was at the restaurant but once Issa saw her, she left. Andrew asked if she had reached out to Issa and of course she didn’t. Molly then finds out she has a quick meeting in the morning before they can kick off their trip to Mexico.

When Molly gets to work she chews her assistant outfor not telling her about the meeting sooner. Clearly this is just piles and piles of emotion getting to Molly and of course it comes out in the form of lashing out at people.

Molly I am actually rooting for your healing.

Molly rushes to the airport to meet Andrew. On the plane they meet Mable, essentially the crazy passenger on the plane heading to the same destination as you that wants to be your friend. Mable is played by my fav Kim Fields, better known as the fabulously bougie friend in my head, Regine Hunter (of the iconic 90s sitcom Living Single)! Andrew and Molly decide to turn it up a notch on the plane with some adult, stimulation.

The resort is absolutely beautiful by the way, and of course it had me thinking about all the real life cancelled trips this year. Molly finally meets Andrew’s brother Victor who has an entire itinerary planned.

Um Victor, chill out these two are trying to head to their room and get freaky, and that they did.

Molly packed some sexy lingerie, and Andrew packed some adult toys. Molly and Andrew find themselves on the balcony giving the entire resort a money shot, good times.

Molly and Andrew ended up ditching the plans for the night. The next day they go on a hike and zip-lining with Victor and his lady. The trip is wonderful and it is refreshing to see Molly happy and comfortable with Andrew. When I say comfortable I mean, slipping in some lingerie and having a seat on faces, comfortable. Again, good times.

Then, Nathan calls Andrew because the garage door is jammed. Issa can be heard in the background and Molly goes on a rant about Issa taking Nathan back after all he put her through. Andrew reveals to Molly that Nathan was indeed dealing with mental health issues and Molly immediately appears regretful.

The following day while at the pool, Molly goes to grab a towel for Victor’s girl after she was splashed in the face. The towel attendant asked for Molly’s keycard in order to get a towel and of course Molly did not take well to the situation. Victor came over and diffused the situation by showing his card and getting the towel. When Molly gets back to the pool Andrew can see something went down. Molly explains that she felt racially profiled and Victor makes the mistake of playing “Devil’s Advocate.” Victor tells Molly maybe she was just doing her job and it got ugly. It ended in Molly telling Victor ‘F*** You’ and storming out of the pool.

That night with Andrew was chilly ya’ll.

It was no sex in that champagne room.

The remainder of the trip remains separate from Victor. Andrew said he checked his brother and he apologized but clearly Molly felt some guilt. She heads to the beach for a walk and ends up calling her therapist for an appointment. Molly admits she has had a hard time letting things go.

Well the trip is over and Molly spots Lawrence at the airport. She introduces Andrew to him and well, awkward joke referencing “Full House” goes over everyone’s head except Molly’s. I chuckled at the embarrassment. Lawrence walks off and makes a phone call to someone he has been thinking of.

Guess who?

Take Aways:

Molly is having an epiphany and I am all about growth.

Andrew is just great. I mean really a great guy.

Um we got cheated out of five minutes ya’ll! Somebody get Issa on the line!

Lawrence and Issa reunite next week. Oh *Sheree Whitfield voice*
