Things are getting hot for Tariq, Brayden, Cane and Effie. Noma’s henchmen threaten those closest to the crew with the expectation of them selling all of the product and handing over $1 million dollars. Diana will apparently be the first victim. After leaving from the drug warehouse, Tariq and Effie head back to Stansfield. Tariq finally agrees to let Effie move some weight on campus considering she is only dependent on herself right now.

Jenny, Blanca and Detective Whitman are still on the chase to serve up a RICO charge to both Tariq and Monet. Whitman wants Carrie’s death case opened back up because he suspects Monet has something to do with it. Blanca and Whitman also bring up Lauren’s death but Jenny quickly pivots the conversation and suggests they do not open already closed murder cases.

Whitman stops into Monet’s bar and offers for her to come in and confess to Carrie’s murder. This prompts Monet to see Davis and mention that he has been calling her and hanging up. He shows her the cellphone to prove he had not called her. She also brings up Whitman snooping around. Davis agrees to go with her to see Whitman but it must be handled his way.

Davis, and Monet meet with Whitman. He questions her about her contractor’s disappearance. He also brings up other people that have turned up dead near or around the Tejeda family. Whitman tries to accuse Monet of also killing Zeke which sets her off. When Whitman leaves, Davis tells her she shouldn’t have mentioned GTG and warns about her connections to Dante. They agree to warn Tariq. At the meet-up, Davis tells Tariq to stay away from Monet for now since Whitman has been sniffing around Stansfield and the penthouse. Davis files a harassment charge against Whitman. Blanca and Jenny worry he may have compromised their investigation.

Cane warns the family about the threats against them by way of Noma. Cane wants to kill Frank’s sons to take over their territory in hopes of pushing more product. Dru is against the idea but feels they should take out their connect, the Russians. Lorenzo is forced to go along with whatever Cane wants considering the blackmail deets he has. Tariq comes up with an idea of creating a coffee delivery app to deliver the drugs to clients. They will also use crypto coin to make purchases untraceable. Cane asks Brayden to kill the Russian connect because he is white and it will be the perfect cover so no one figures out who really ordered the kill.

Brayden’s sister gets drugs from Course Perfect and Diana becomes curious about who is behind the new app. She discovers Effie is selling drugs on campus. Effie offers to allow Diana to work with her but she isn’t interested.

Brayden chickens out on killing the Russian connect so Tariq must step in to do it. Brayden, Tariq and Effie rush into an Italian restaurant to make sure they have an alibi. Tariq knows this won’t be the last time they hear from the Russians. Brayden steps away to text Cane and let him know the job is done, even though he did not complete the mission.

Cane, Dru and Lorenzo meet with Frank’s sons. The brothers inform Cane that the shooter of their connect was a Black male. Dru tells them Cane was with him bagging product all night so they could not have set up the Russian. Thankfully Lorenzo steps in to assure the boys that Cane had nothing to do with the hit and he also announces that Cane is in charge of the family business now. Dru is shocked by the announcement and suspects there’s something going on between Cane and Lorenzo.

The “No Cap, All Frap” business begins and quickly takes off with early orders coming through by way of Weston Holdings staff. Brayden and Cane have a meet up. Cane confronts Brayden about not taking out the Russian connect himself. He tells Brayden that he still owes him a body.

Takeaways:

When this Lauren news hits the fan chile! Tariq planning a future with the woman who killed the real love of his life, except the real love of his life is still alive. Wasn’t this on an episode of “General Hospital?”

Lorenzo getting his ass beat for selling drugs should not be funny to me but I fear, it is. He gonna have to get some get back on Cane.

Dru is mad he let his boo slip away for a family business he is no longer taking over.

Diana gonna be selling Snicker bars wrapped in cocaine. What will Hotep Saleem think!?
