Vic

I understand that we want to build suspense and expand storylines, which is very fair, but Tommy Egan has never been one to be puzzled about who a snitch is — especially with the clues staring him right in his face. If we take a look at the events of the past 2–3 episodes, Vic is the obvious culprit but I digress. In tonight’s episode, Vic is ordered to place a bug in Tommy’s apartment and he reluctantly agrees. One of my issues with Vic is his display of guilt for being disloyal to Tommy but his refusal to just run. In the end Tommy does figure out that Vic has been the one feeding information to the FEDs. Tommy put a lot of trust into his once foe especially after Vic killed his own father. Honestly, I don’t feel bad for Vic, it’s been a long time coming in my opinion.

Diamond

Diamond has become so vengeful over the killing of Leon and suspecting someone tipped off Officer Reeves to that barbershop. He gets confirmation on who hat person was on a visit to Gianna and that hideous Jamal answers the door. Diamond asks Jernard to bring Leon’s killer to him, problem is the kid that killed Leon is the nephew of King Kilo. Diamond does get some get back when he drowns Jamal in a lake.

Miguel/Abuelita

Are ya’ll still surprised that Abuelita got blown to smithereens? Chile, Abuelita was not my favorite but she did not have to go out like that. Now Miguel is sick because she was basically like his mother. Only person he has left is Mireya but she made her choice in Tommy. Tommy later figures out that Miguel’s own crew member, Nunez, was the one that planted the bomb in Miguel’s car. He discovers that Nunez has been working with Mirkovic in a plan to have Miguel killed. Knowing that Miguel was planning to kill Mirkovic, he forces Nunez to make a call warning the Serbs of the attack. Tommy brings a bloody Nunez to both Che and Miguel and tells them that he was the one that crossed them. Che beraites Miguel for not knowing he had a rat in his circle and failing at killing Mirkovic. Things are going to get dicey quick with this scenario simply because Tommy is winning on just about every front on his quest to take over Chicago.

Mireya/Tommy

Speaking of Mireya, I love how she just tells Tommy her concerns and remains open with him. Looking back, I can not think of a time that Tommy genuinely had that in a partner — any partnership. Ghost constantly hid things from him, Holly hid her run in with the police at first and set Ghost up behind his back and Lakeisha also hid the nature of her run in with the police — he never had anyone he could truly trust. Mireya is like a breath of fresh air and I hope this lasts. If Tommy wins at nothing else in Chicago — let him get the girl. The pair make plans to leave Chicago and go to Barcelona, one day.

D-Mac/JP

Now let me start by saying that Diamond knew D-Mac would be a huge problem. Well looky-looky, the boy ran away from that military farmhouse. See D-Mac even lacks respect for his Uncle Tommy and we all know that is the one uncle you need not play with. JP finds D-Mac at Marshall’s house but D-Mac is less than happy to see his father, accusing JP of abandoning him again. JP promises to talk to Tommy and smooth everything out. Now JP you know your son killed a cop — what are we smoothing over again? In the midst of all this mess with D-Mac, JP forgives Kate for leaving him because he understands the guilt of leaving a child.

Claudia/Shanti/Elise

Claudia finally feels like she is making her return as Head Karen in Charge. She weaseled her way into making a deal with Marquez Cartel, the other major Chicago cartel. With Elise willing to front the money to Claudia to broker the deal. When Claudia fills Shanti in on the deal, she reports the info to Tommy who asks her to continue to play along with Claudia.

Jernard

Jernard seems to be on the right path, he is keeping his nose clean, he is just saying no to drugs — alright ya’ll get it. Jernard is looking out for his brother knowing things are a bit heavy for Diamond right now. Jernard confirms Diamond’s alibi to the police when they come sniffing around for leads on Officer Reeves. He also tells Shanti that in the quest to take control from Tommy, he would like to retain Diamond. Shanti seems to be completely against the idea and I am sure it’s because she knows the brothers will always choose one another over her.
