Escobar season has returned! The legendary Queensbridge emcee has returned with the release of KDIII, the fourth project since Nas and Hit-Boy linked in 2020.

Following tremendous releases such as KD, KDII and Magic the super-producer got right back in his bag crafting some really dope beats that fit Nas’ style, demeanor, and most importantly the culture. Original beats with some really dope samples allowed the QB veteran to do what he does best in the booth.

KDIII has no features, something that most artists and fans of the current generation could not fathom. It is an ode to a time that Nas knows well and he found a groove to craft a special project. He rapped about going on 30 Summers in this game of Hip-Hop as the man, the cycle of life (Once a Man, Twice a Child), even from the perspective of Beef. In an almost unfathomable way, Nas continues to push the boundaries of his subject matter and grow his audience while staying true to core fans.

He even takes a victory lap as the face of QB rap with “Thun” an ode to his home and his place as one of the faces of the art.

Nas is aging backwards in Hip-Hop by allowing Hit-Boy to craft the sound that is vintage, yet new at the same time.

The dynamic duo have yet to miss gifting the people with four great bodies of work in a two year period. This is a rare sight from a veteran rapper that has been around as long as Nas, pumping out music of this caliber at this stage is just unheard of.

We appreciate greatness over here at The Baldwin, which is why Nas and Hit-Boy have earned a 10/10 with KDIII.
