Yesterday in Budapest, Hungary — American Sprinter, Sha’Carri Richardson, won the 100-meter world title. At the age of 23, she set the track ablaze and gave an outstanding performance, resulting in her personal best time of 10.65 seconds.

Sha’Carri is the first American woman since 2017 to win the 100-meter world championship and likely solidifying herself as a medal contender in Paris 2024.

Back in 2021, her dream of competing in the Tokyo Summer Olympic games ended after a positive marijuana test. Sha’Carri took full responsibility for her actions and admitted she used to cope with the passing of her mother — I understood completely.

After the race, Sha’Carri told reporters this:

“I’m honored, I’m blessed, I had great competition, pulled the best out of me, and I’m just honored to leave with a gold medal. I’m going to stay humble. I’m not back, I’m better and I’ll continue to be better.”
