The police show up to the Saint’s home with a warrant for Sissy’s arrest. Officer Nix is the arresting officer of course. In the patrol car, Nixon pulls over to let his partner out and begins to drive away with Sissy. When she starts to question what he is doing, he slams on his brakes causing Sissy to hit her head. They pull into an empty lot that leads to a cemetery. Officer Nixon walks Sissy to Andre’s grave. He tells Sissy that Andre was a good man. He proceeds to push Sissy to the ground and tells her that Franklin murdered him. Once he leaves, Sissy gets to a phone and the family comes to get her. As a result of what is happening, Sissy tells Franklin he must finish his bookstore deal.

The following day, Franklin goes to see the couple to finalize the deal on their bookstore. Mrs. Mosley still seems surprised that Franklin wants to help them keep their business, however it is clear this deal is over more than just saving Black owned businesses. Franklin ends up selling the bookstore to Mr. Davis. He goes to tell the Mosley’s that they must leave the bookstore location. He is of course met with a very unsavory response. Franklin sold out the Black folks!
