Welcome back to Chi-Town ya’ll!!

Picking up with a few of our favorite, and sometimes messy, couples. Emmett and Keisha are adjusting as a couple and that often comes with disagreements and communication issues. Keisha is readying to interview at the school for a teaching job and wanting Emmett to pick up some of the slack at home. Emmett has sex on his mind — per usual.

Jemma’s father, Marcus, and Victor’s old fake girlfriend, Tierra, are in a situationship now. Jemma overhears the pair having sex which prompts Marcus to confront Tierra about her noise. She challenges Marcus to decide between his daughter and his needs as a man. Marcus decides to introduce Jemma to Tierra — formally.

Meanwhile some of our other couples seem to be faring well. Jada and Darnell are still as cute as ever. Victor and Fatima are still going well together but Victor is having moments of wondering if he could actually win the election. Shaad and Deja seem to be doing okay but Shaad feels out of place in her home. Deja insists that her home is now Shaad’s also. My only issue is seeing Shaad scrolling through pictures of Tierra — remember their fling?

Kevin is finally in his own place and doing what most of us do when we move out — shop at our parents crib. Nina and Dre set Kevin straight and remind him that if he wants to be on his own, that means buying his own groceries.

Douda takes Emmett to buy a fancy suit for the Smokie’s grand opening. Nuck and Bakari tag along as well. At the suit shop, Nuck asks Emmett to hold his gun while he adjusts his pants and things seem to hit Emmett about the world he is entering working with Douda.

Keisha has her interview to become a teacher. She observes Ms. Berry who reprimands a student for not wanting to read. Ms. Berry gives push back on Keisha’s knowledge of boys behaving this way because they usually aren’t good at reading. Keisha later finds out the little boy who was asked to read out loud, is an exceptional reader but very shy. He thought he couldn’t express his truth but Keisha encourages him to always be honest.

Douda and Rob finally have a sit down. They seem to bump heads because Rob just wants to stick with the deal he originally had in place with his uncle. Douda promises him 15% of whatever he makes if he is willing to adjust.

Emmett picks up Tiffany and their son in his new car. She hints at wanting a car to help her chauffeur their son around. Emmett later confides in Douda about Tiffany wanting a car and he encourages Emmett to do whatever is needed for the mother of his child. Keisha comes to the grand opening celebration after her interview and admits to Emmett that she is not fond of Douda, however she surprises Emmett with the news that she got the teaching job. The two embrace and she questions Emmett about his new and expensive suit. She is willing to give Douda a chance.

Everyone hangs at Kevin’s new spot. Poppa wants to DM a girl from his job and everyone, including Maisha, seems to encourage it. Once the kick back clears out, Maisha helps with the clean up. Kevin and Maisha share a moment together and a kiss. Now ya’ll know Poppa gonna be sick.

Emmett surprises Tiffany with a new car and Rob seems to be cool with it. Things don’t go as smoothly with Keisha. She is upset Emmett didn’t talk to her before getting Tiffany a car. Although her points are valid, Emmett still seems immature when it comes to conflict in a relationship, causing him to leave after the disagreement.

Emmett joins Douda and his crew for a cigar. Douda asks one of his guys, Dev, to lower the volume on his chewing, to which Dev responds that he is not chewing that loud. Emmett tells Douda that Keisha wasn’t pleased with him purchasing a car for Tiffany. Douda insists he give Keisha whatever she wants and if that’s a place, he has a realtor he can use. When Emmett seems standoff-ish about the idea, Douda grows impatient telling him to stop being a pussy. He tells him to jump in the deep end, where it’s nice. He promises Emmett that he will make sure he has enough money to take care of all of his women considering the mothers of his children are indeed that.

Douda gets up from the table with Emmett, he walks over to Dev and shoots him multiple times — over chewing loudly. Emmett watches the entire incident and is left visibly shaken up.

After murdering Dev, Douda visits Tracey. She tells him she is concentrating on herself right now. He expresses that he misses her and asks if she feels the same? The two kiss and sleep together. The next morning, Douda is gone when Tracey wakes up. He sends a very classic “you just a booty call’ text message. She seems to feel immediate regret while watching a video of Eartha Kitt.

Takeaways

Victor wins his election with Fatima by his side. I wonder if that shirtless video had anything to do with it.

Lord knows Poppa will not be okay with a Kevin and Maisha relationship. The dynamic of this group is so high school and realistic.

Emmett living with a lot of regrets, especially after seeing Dev catch about four bullets for chewing his double mint gum too loud. I mean that could happen to anybody! Thank God they weren’t down at Harold’s eating wings with extra mild sauce!

Tracey girl — you showed not an ounce of restraint boo. Not an OUNCE!
