The Time is now for Dupree’s Patriots
Since returning as Head Football Coach at his alma mater in 2013, Dupree privately envisioned bringing a winning attitude back to Southwest-Macon’s football program. Coming off of consecutive three win seasons as well as returning an experienced core group of players on both sides of the ball, the expectations are sky high for the Patriots entering the 2016–17 season.
When asked about living up to the expectations, Dupree explained, “Failure is not an option. We’ve worked so hard during the off-season. Guys have really gotten after it in the weightroom and focused on getting better. We are going to take pride in playing for our community and that “SW” on the side of our helments. Southwest is ready to take that next step into being a winning program. Anything less than a playoff appearance and a run at the state title is unacceptable.”
