Offensive Coordinator — Football

Assistant Coach — Basketball

Former Northeast star, Jeremy Wiggins, is still pacing the sidelines for the Raiders nowadays, albeit in a different role — coaching.

Wiggins recognizes and embraces the blessing of being able to return home and coach at his Alma Mater. He states “It’s a dream come true for me to be able to come in and coach kids that are from where I’m from, I am very privileged to be in this position.”

Additionally, he has a passion for youth athletics in Macon, Ga. Wiggins credits playing youth sports in Macon for showing him how to compete at a high level. However, he feels that the city has taken a slight step backwards in its approach to athletic preparation within the recreational department. Wiggins says “We need better and more qualified coaches in our recreation leagues, anybody should not have the right to coach. Our recreation departments should start providing clinics and/or coaching seminars to teach the volunteer coaches the X’s and O’s of sports so that they can properly prepare the kids.”

Likewise, given that he experienced great academic and athletic success at the collegiate level, Wiggins feels that our parents and kids have to become more passionate and knowledgeable about how to get to the next level. In fact, he adds “College should be on every parent and student’s mind even if they do not play sports because you never know what the future holds. We have a lot of talented kids in Macon, Ga. and we have a lot talented kids that never leave Macon. I want to be able to see these kids leave Macon and be productive!”

Don’t be Average! Be Great!
