The Central Chargers got off to a fast start against the Patriots and never allowed Southwest to get into a rhythm early on. Central took a commanding 15–4 lead after the first quarter of play, and went into halftime with a comfortable double digit lead.

However, the Patriots continued to fight hard and were able to cut into a 16 point second half lead when Central’s center, Kentrevious Jones, picked up his fourth personal foul late in the third quarter. The Chargers were up by 6 points when 6’9 Kentrevious “Big K” Jones re-entered the game early in the fourth quarter. The big man in the middle immediately took charge and helped seal the game by scoring 10 of the last 11 points for the Chargers.

Despite the late push from the Patriots, the Chargers held on and handed Southwest their first loss of the season. Central improved to 3–1 on the season, while Southwest dropped to 4–1.
