Kobe Butts Finding His Niche

Every since he can remember, Kobe Butts has had an equally amount of interest in multiple sports including baseball, basketball, and football. However, his recent success on the diamond has propelled baseball ahead of the rest. Butts batted .704 this season at Miller Middle School nearly doubling his average from the previous season. His progression over the past year has made him one of the top middle school baseball prospects in the city of Macon, Ga.

At Miller Butts plays pitcher, catcher, and third base. Right now back catching is his calling card given that he has the arm strength to consistently pick off base runners attempting to steal bases, but I would be remiss if I did not mention his superb pitching while in relief for the primary starters. In two starts on the mound, Butts was 2–0 with twenty -three (23) strikeouts. Additionally, he finished with 4 homeruns, 9 doubles and seventeen RBI’s on the season.

The rising prospect is set to attend high school at Tattnall Square Academy next year.
