Mother’s Consistent Push Motivates Defensive Stud

Every since Chandler King can remember, his mother, Kinya Miller, has instilled great work ethic in him. King states “My mom has always pushed me to do my best and work hard in everything I do, and she doesn’t take no for an answer,” when asked about his relentless effort on the football field.
King is the defensive captain for the Central (Macon, Ga) Chargers HS football team. The 6'2 270lbs defensive end led the team in sacks this season — 10.5 Additionally, he recorded 45 tackles, 3 fumble recoveries, and 2 punt blocks on the season. King is a 2015 2AAA first team All-Region selection — Region Sacks Leader — and an honorable mention All-Middle Georgia selection.

King has received football scholarship offers from Benedict College and Jackson State University. Likewise, he is garnering interest from several other schools — Tennessee State, Jacksonville State, South Alabama, and Mercer among others. When asked about the recruiting process, King added “I am blessed to be on the verge of playing on the next level, I have thoroughly enjoyed the process and am really looking forward to signing day.”
King plans to major in Business and Finance in college. Lastly, he aspires to become a professional football player so that he can finally buy his mother a Porsche Panamera that she has always wanted.
