Excitement is building in the state of Georgia as the #1 seed Central Chargers host the #2 seed Westside Seminoles in tonight’s region 2AAA championship game in Macon, Ga. The talent in this game has created a buzz around the state that has college coaches, scouts, and recruiting agencies from throughout the country hitting the road to be in attendance. The game will feature five star prospect Khavon “KD” Moore and rising Junior Kentrevious “BIG K” Jones.

Tonight is the third matchup of the season between these two very intriguing teams. The teams split the regular season series against one another. Westside won the first meeting in a surprisingly lopsided manner (83–62). However, Central regained their focus as the season progressed and defeated the Seminoles 75–72 in the second meeting — game went down to final buzzer.

  • 17' Kentrevious Jones: 6’10 JR (Central Macon) Jones is a load on the low block. He continually punishes smaller defenders with his big body. Moreover, Jones has soft touch around the basket and a nice mid-range shooting touch. Some big time D-1 programs have started take notice of his dominating low post presence and have started to get into the recruiting mix as of late — the University of Georgia and Memphis among others. Likewise, Jones’ name is starting to gain a lot of traction in recruiting circles, which puts him on our rising juniors radar.
