And what about the wolf bitten by a man?

You may well ask yourself come the half-moon. Struck barefoot and blind in sunlight. Nervous licks of the maw for a quinoa burger. Inhale the richness of old world reds, drink whites as crisp as padding through sharp Yule snow.

Forget such memories. Gulp down longing and resistance, fake timorous smiles while nibbling at life’s edges. Must not anger, wine not whine, get a grip with trimmed claws.

Don’t listen for how the stars shine. This is how to be without the moon — they say it is safer for you, better than the wild.

Then why are you always hungry?
