When words fail you

Un-scroll to understand in sand, feeling bottled up and buoyant
Words will fail you

make you mistress of mourning — silver lined dawning
words will fail

to unravel you in rhymes — through titanic times
words will

appoint you mute master of tidal tongue twisters
words

will empty you out in search of your message
words are

storm-tossed and feisty — every journey is dicey
words are all

washed up on your shore, when the king tides roar
words are all you

need to set sail, build your balsa wood tale
words are all you have

to launch small shipments, re-crafting your figments
words are all you have to stay

alight and in tune, inky dark of the moon
words are all you have to stay afloat

until you are re-turned and re-tilled

tiding your vintage vessel, briny and spilled

into sips of shining syllables

glistening in silence

to every word

still inside you
