I Met a Man Who Has Never Been on Social Media
Now, I’m not sure he really exists
This has never happened to me before.
I mean. Not since the dawn of social media in the mid-2000s.
I met a man who claimed he didn’t currently and had never used any social media platform.
He was with his wife, who said she had a Facebook profile and used Instagram to monitor her daughter’s Instagram use.
The guy? Nope.
He said he didn’t see the point. And that he had other ways to waste his time.
If he wanted to be social, he’d just go have coffee with someone.
Odd.
I mean, how does he pre-stalk the people he has meetings or interviews with? How does he know what sports teams the parents of his kid’s friends support? How does he check out their politics?
Does he . . . talk to other people? Like, in-person talking?
I figured this had to be an anomaly — a pretty big one.
And, well, the data suggests just over 6% of people in the U.S. are not social media users.
