Evesham Police charge robbery victims’ acquaintance in stabbing of teen
The following information comes from the Evesham Township Police Department:
On Sept. 11 at 8:50 p.m., Evesham Police responded to a home in the unit block of Parkdale Place for a stabbing victim.
Investigation determined that earlier in the evening a 15-year-old male and female juvenile were talking on the playground area of Demasi School, 199 Evesboro-Medford Road, when they were approached by an 18-year-old male. The male robbed the juvenile male of his jewelry.
The 15-year-old male victim went home and retuned with a second 18-year-old male. Both armed with knives, the males returned to Demasi School in search of the robbery suspect.
The armed males located and attacked the robbery suspect, along with a second 15-year-old juvenile male who was present during the earlier robbery.
During the attack, the second 18-year-old male (the acquaintance of the robbery victim) stabbed the second 15-year-old juvenile male in the abdomen with a knife. The victim was transported to Cooper Hospital and was listed in critical condition.
As of Sept. 12 the victim’s health improved according to doctors.
Arrested:
The first 18-year-old male, of Marlton, was charged with second-degree robbery. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $20,000.
The second 18-year-old male, of Marlton, was charged with second-degree aggravated assault and third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $25,000.
The first 15-year-old first juvenile male (the original robbery victim), of Marlton, was charged with second-degree aggravated assault and third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail juvenile facility.
