Evesham Police K-9 sniffs out narcotics, Vineland man arrested

The following report is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On Feb. 14 at 9:52 a.m., an Evesham Police Officer stopped a vehicle on Route 73 and Commonwealth Drive.

During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 Brody was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics. K-9 Brody was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the truck. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of psilocybin (mushrooms) and marijuana.

Arrested:

A male age 31 of Vinland was charged with third degree possession of psilocybin and a disorderly persons offense for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
