The Yellow Ribbon Club will be honoring the veterans of Evesham Township all day during the community’s Fourth of July celebration on Monday morning.

The YRC will kick off the Evesham Parade with displays of patriotism while troops walk with the club down Main Street in the grand marshall section for the third year in a row. The Warrior Watch Riders will lead the club down the parade route, followed by the Cherokee High School Marching Band, two military Hummers, and the Evesham Fire and Rescue.

In the evening at Cherokee High School the YRC will honor the troops by having Mayor Randy Brown lead them onto the football field at 7:30 p.m. At 7:45 p.m., sky jumpers will jump from a plane and land on the football field to greet the troops. The sky jumpers are all military veterans.

The YRC will then bring the troops up on to the stage where a 25 minute ceremony honoring them will kick off. This will include The Warrior Watch Riders and Friends forming a flag line as they honor our fallen men and women with bagpipers playing “Amazing Grace,” the Evesham Police firing a 21 gun salute, and the Lone Bugler will play “Taps.”

Finally, before the fireworks, a special guest surprise speaker that will only be revealed Monday night.
