In the swamps of Florida sits the massive park of Disney World. Walt Disney’s vision of a children's wonderland of fantasy and joy. In 2018, a staggering 58 million visitors enjoyed the park. A place where kids are kids, and they dream to be there.

When Disney set out to build his park, he wanted his visitors to have a magical experience. His world included freedom from biting bugs. Situated smack dab in the middle of Florida’s swampland, it’d be hard to imagine.

Let’s face it, who wants bug bites? I have adverse reactions to mosquitoes. I swell up and live on anti-itch medication until they heal.

It would be a huge task to overcome. I’ve seen lakes full of mosquito larvae. You feel as if you can’t get away from them fast enough. Imagine how forward-thinking Disney was to even ponder this control.

Disney wanted the mosquitoes repelled by using friendly methods. Quite a progressive move back in the mid-sixties.
