Boy, Christopher Robin really knows how to sell you on a movie.
He gave this riveting review on a film from his childhood and I knew I had to watch it. I was in the mood for something nonsensical and ridiculous, so why not give it a whirl?
The cat, named some combination of keyboard button mashing symbols, but is called Jake for the film, lands on Earth in a spaceship that looks like it is made from styrofoam. This movie’s props budget was giving dollar store and Party City.
Jake had a weird avocado-shaped electromagnetic thing that came off the spaceship with him, and it looked like a kaleidoscopic Kinder Egg. He also wears a collar that looks likes the plastic molds that dentists teach kids to brush their teeth properly on.
Apparently, this collar gives Jake superpowers. He can freeze people in their tracks. He can alter the odds of sports games. He can allow the man who finds him, Frank (Ken Barry), to levitate mid-air.
