Freeholder Mary Ann O’Brien announced on June 15 that the Burlington County Farmers Market will be celebrating its tenth season on Saturday, June 18 with special events throughout the day.

“I know we say this every year, but without a doubt, this will be our best season ever,” said Freeholder Director Mary Ann O’Brien. “Now ten years in, the Farmers Market continues to see the number of vendors grow each year. We are pleased to welcome back the vendors that have been with us since the Market opened as we mark this occasion.”

The Farmers Market, located at the County Agricultural Center on Centerton Road in Moorestown, features locally grown Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, annual and perennial plants, cut flowers, baked goods and other prepared foods, cheeses, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, and unique crafts.

“The John Bryne Band, a popular Philadelphia based Celtic/American folk band, will be on hand to provide entertainment starting at 9:00 a.m. At 10:00 a.m., Sofia Karakasidou from Kuzina by Sofia will be in the Farmhouse Kitchen for a cooking demonstration highlighting seasonal Mediterranean cooking,” explained Freeholder O’Brien.

“All are invited to join in the celebration. There will be giveaways during the day and cake to celebrate 10 years of this terrific tradition!” O’Brien added.

The market will be open every Saturday rain or shine (except during declared weather emergencies) through October 31.

A complete list of all vendors and upcoming programs and activities at the market can be found at burlcoagcenter.com. For more information call (856) 642–3850.
