Medford residents celebrate collegiate academic success

Julianna Foss, Charlotte Greenberg, Douglas Hendry and Austin Wetterau, all of whom are from Medford, NJ, have earned Dean’s List status from Bucknell University.

The semester was Hendry and Wetterau’s last, as they have graduated.

Additionally, student Alec Nolan, also of Medford, graduated from The University of Scranton.

Christina Hopkins, a Fashion Design major also from Medford, NJ, was named to the Spring 2017 Dean’s List at Mount Ida College, for achieving a GPA of 3.33 or higher.

Medford’s Shannon Nugent was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Nugent was initiated at University of Southern California.

Medford resident and student James Muller, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense, hands-on research project in India. The project was titled Extending the Apple Season: Cold Storage in Himachal Massa.

In their project summary, the students wrote that the “project attempted to understand problems affecting fruit and vegetable farmers in Himachal Pradesh, India, and identify ways to alleviate them.”
