Shawnee High School to bring ‘Cinderella’ to the stage

This year, the students of Shawnee High School are proud to present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.” This classic, Golden Age musical is one you cannot miss.

The beauty and elegance of Richard Rodgers’ artistic score combines with Oscar Hammerstein’s witty but brilliant script to create a timeless story of courage, kindness and love.

In this modern adaptation, the character of “Cinderella” becomes the hero, not only rescuing her prince, but his entire kingdom from a life of poverty and disenchantment. This story is for girls and women everywhere who dream of changing the world. Don’t miss our journey to a magical land where impossible things are happening every day.

The musical will take place at the Shawnee auditorium on Friday, Feb. 23, Saturday, Feb. 24, Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3. All shows are at 7 p.m., with additional 2 p.m. performances on Feb. 24 and March 3. Tickets, available for purchase at the door, are $13 for adults and $10 for students and children. Gold passes are accepted.

Shawnee High School is located at 600 Tabernacle Road, Medford.
