Help make a positive impact on the life of a child this summer by participating in the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties’ Send Kids to Y Camp campaign.

“By supporting this campaign, you’ll help ensure that all children in the community have the opportunity to learn, grow, thrive and have fun just like other kids,” Tim Kerrihard, Y President and CEO said. “Summer day camp helps children build their self-confidence, self-esteem and character each day.”

This year, the Y will provide over $75,000 in camper scholarships to families in need. In addition, the Y will subsidize nearly $200,000 toward camps for special populations. These camps include: Camp No Worries, providing children with cancer and their siblings the opportunity to make friends, enjoy themselves and forget about their worries for one week in the summer; Camp Connections, offering children with special needs access to the opportunities for socialization, expression and learning that come with positive summer camp experience; Camden City Camps, teaching children healthy lifestyle choices and the lifesaving skill of swimming; and scholarships for At Risk Campers, allowing children to engage in structured activities and interact with positive role models.

“Your donation, no matter how large or small, will help a child form lasting friendships and enjoy a fun-filled summer in a safe, enriching environment,” Jen Segelken, Y Development Director said.
