Leadership: You Only Need a Few…
In my 25 years in business, I worked with some amazing people. I created a flat structure from the start with zero management and hired only “entry level” — same as how I started. Over time, I introduced “team leads” and always promoted from within. I was blessed to witness more than a few lives transformed through a decade of BTL team practices.
After selling my company in 2022, those who enjoyed the gift of BTL Practice suddenly found their calendars clear on Wednesday afternoons. For most, their builder’s journey ended, but for a few, they knew it was just beginning — and they wasted no time.
I recently reconnected with one of them. She started at $12.00 bucks an hour and worked her way up to a team lead position. She became one of our top performers. She got so good that I trained her to replace me, so I could run faster towards my OPUS.
Catching up with her recently was nothing short of amazing. I hardly recognized her. She’s always loved horses, so she went out and bought one. She’s on a health kick and lost 140 pounds.
Built to Lead is powerful, but you have to want it and be willing to get after it.
Pick up your pen if you want to grow. It won’t write itself and your growth is directly tied to the volume of your writing — I’m convinced of it.
