Discovering the Spirit World

Hearts, holes and souls

Courtesy of author in Hawaii

I was born with a hole in my heart. The medical term is ventricular septal defect (VSD). I remember lying in bed, and my chest would sort of vibrate and shake a little bit. It was weird but I lived with it. Turns out my mom had a virus when I was but a wee lassie in her tummy. The virus interfered with my physical growth and development, hence the hole. Stupid virus.
